Privacy

Last updated 7 November 2026

The short version: Puzzle Puffin doesn't collect anything about you or your child. There are no accounts, no cookies, no adverts and no tracking. Progress is saved only on your own device.

What is saved on this device

To show progress and remember choices, the page saves a little information in your browser's storage on this device only:

This never leaves the device. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else, and it doesn't include names or anything that identifies a child. Each device, and each browser, keeps its own copy.

How to delete it

Saving a copy of progress

Save a copy on the puzzle page makes a small file of the scores and choices on this device, which you can keep wherever you like and load back later, for example on a new tablet. The file is made on the device itself and is never sent anywhere by Puzzle Puffin.

Working offline

After your first visit, the browser keeps a copy of the page, its fonts and its pictures, so it works without the internet. This copy holds no personal information.

Hosting

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives the internet address and browser details of each visit, to deliver the page and keep the service secure. We don't see or use this information. GitHub explains how it handles it in its privacy statement.

Everything else, including the fonts, comes from this site itself. No other companies are involved.

The note at the bottom of the puzzle page links to claude.ai, the AI assistant used to build Puzzle Puffin. That site has its own privacy policy.
